Welcome to the website for the Severnside Branch of the Open University Geology Society.
The Branch covers South Wales, including Pembrokeshire, Glamorgan, Powys and parts of Gloucestershire, Hereford & Worcester and Avon.
We run field trips throughout the spring and autumn both within our Branch and overseas. In recent years we have been to Tenerife 7 times, to Skye, Newfoundland, Southern Spain, Brittany, the Alps, Norway and the Azores. During the winter we organise a day of lectures. All members of the society are welcome to join our trips.
We also have a large library and issue a regular Newsletter which includes accounts of the field trips and keeps members up to date with the Events diary.
